A novel 1D numerical model has been developed parameterize the charging process in presence a large-scale electric field. able self-consistently calculate modification atmospheric ion densities particles, consequent alteration electrical conductivity Moreover, estimates acquired charge on calculates force that applied them. Using observed size distributions, we find can acquire range 1–1,000 elementary charges depending their number density. become mainly negatively charged, but under specific conditions giant mode (larger than 50 ?m radius) be positive. field increase up 20 times as much fair weather value. However, our approach shows resultant not enough significantly influence gravitational settling, ratio between magnitude gravity does exceed value 0.01.
